The wife of the governor of Imo State, Nneoma Nkechi
Rochas Okorocha has urged the children in the State to be fervent in lifting up
their parents, families, leaders, State government and the nation in prayers so
that the collective dreams and aspiration of making Imo better will be
achieve
Nneoma Nkechi Rochas Okorocha stated this at a Christmas
party with the theme, “Rescue Santa Goes to School” she organized for Imo
children at the Hero’s Square along Imo Concorde hotel road, New Owerri.
She reminded the children that with honesty and hard
work, the sky will be their limit towards whatever they aim at in life; hence
she enjoined them to be serious in their studies and obedient to their parents
and teachers.
The Imo first lady requested the children to be good
ambassadors of their families, the State and the nation at large by exhibiting
good morals while appealing to parents to give quality time to their children
especially during this festive period and teach them good morals to enable them
perform optimally as future leaders
The member for Ideato North in the Imo State House of
Assembly, Barr. Eudora Igwe, the Commissioner for Affairs and Social
Development, Lady Anne Dozie and the Chairman, Imo State Universal Basic
Education Board, Dr. Uche Ejiogu commended the wife of the governor for her
love for Imo children and admonished children to use the Christmas holiday to
study their books and assist their parents at home as well as to have the fear
of God
In their separate good will messages at the occasion, the
Directors, Staff and Students of the three zones in the State, felicitated with
her Excellency, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha on the successful hosting of the entire
Imo children to a Christmas party thereby making Imo children feel that they
are not left out in the scheme of things of the Rescue Mission government of
Owelle Rochas Okorocha

pastor, Evangelist Donald Kelvin of the Assemblies of God Church, Owerri while
reflecting on the Gospel of St. John 14:3 noted that Christmas is the period we
commemorate the birth of the Son of God and appealed to children to shun sin in
all ramification and come back to the Lord for their salvation.

Schools in the State has in attendance among others, the wife of the Deputy
Governor, Lady Ihuoma Agbaso, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social
Development, Mrs. Anne Dozie, Commissioner for Education, Prof. Adaobi Obasi
Some of the children: Miss Chinazo Okpara of the Victory
International Nursery and Primary School, Okpala, Cynthia Nwoke, Stanley Lemchi
and Ginikanwa Lucky could not hide their joy and prayed God to grant the
governor’s wife more fruitful years.
