IMO FIRST LADY SAYS NNEOMA KITCHEN BRINGS BACK THE CULTURE OF BROTHERLY LOVE (COMMUNALISM)




The wife of the governor of Imo State, Nneoma Nkechinyere Rochas Okorocha said the Nneoma Kitchen aims as bringing back in the State  the Culture of brotherly love, brotherly sharing “I am because we are” which as result of events is gradually eroding away in society

Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha stated this at the Sam  Okwaraji International Sports Stadium, Orlu where the Nneoma Kitchen train fed about six thousand  people with children from different Special homes in the area

She said it is a culture that requires us to be our brother’s keeper and prayed that this Culture with which we are known for must not be allowed to go into extinction adding that by so doing Imo must better

The Imo first lady prayed God to grant the people of the area good health of mind and body as they partook of the meal from the Nneoma Kitchen

It will be recalled that the  Nnneoma Kitchen is one of the strategies the Rescue Mission government evolved through the pet project of the wife of the governor to fulfill the Scriptural injunction of the feeding and clothing of the less priviledge in society

Speaking, a Commissioner designate and a onetime Mayor of Orlu zone, Ichie Best Mbanasor while expressing his excitement at the gesture said he was not surprised that such is happing in the State as he attributed the success story to God who is at the helm of affairs in the rescue mission government

In his remarks, the Sole Administrator of Orlu LGA while welcoming the wife of the governor described the gesture of the Nneoma Kitchen as democracy in action, reaching out to people and touching their lives

The Director General of Imo foundation, Barr Mgozi Njoku said nobody could carry out this exercise if she has no milk of human kindness and prayed God to strengthen her Excellency more to continue with this good work she is doing in the State

Eze Emmanuel Okeke, the Deputy Chairman of Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Orlu Zone could not hide his joys at what the Imo first lady is doing in the State and called on the people of the area to rally round the governor and his wife as they have been tested and trusted

High points of the occasion were presentation of  bags of rice, rolls of tissue papers, tins of powdered milk, special toys for children in the homes, cartons of pampers, cartons of eva soap, cartons of tomatoes, bags of salt, bags of Omo, cartons of sugar, cartons of indomie, cartons of milo, blue band magarine, juice and clothes to the special homes in the area; and the feeding and clothing of the people of the area
