GOV’S WIFE ENJOINS IMO WOMEN TO BE UNITED






Imo women have been enjoined to continue being united and remain focused to achieve the State of our collective dreams

Wife of the governor of Imo State, Nneoma Nkechi Rochas Okorocha stated this when she granted audience to women of Ideato South LGA who paid her a courtesy visit at the government house, Owerri

She thanked the Ideato women for their love and support especially through prayers and called on them to sustain it

She noted that a house divided against itself cannot stand and commended the women for the unity among them

She thanked them for presenting her with gift items ranging from 27 pieces of mattress, 27 cooking stoves, among others to assist her furnish the bungalows she is constructing for indigent widows in the State under her “She Needs A Roof Programme” (SNARP)

In an address she presented on behalf of the group, the SA to the Governor on Women Affairs and Mobilization, Mrs. Getrude Oduka said they were in her office to express their unalloyed support and cooperation to her people oriented programme and lauded her love for Imo people especially the downtrodden

She used the occasion to congratulate the governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha for the establishment and realization of the Community Government Council (CGC), creation of seven new mega cities, massive road constructions among other classical transformations going on in the State

Presenting the items to the wife of the governor, the leader of the group, Mrs. Geraldine Obinali and the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Adaobi Obasi described Her Excellency as peace loving and caring; and admonished women to always pray for the well being of their children while praying God to grant the State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okoroch the strength and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the government.

Meanwhile, the wife of the governor, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha has called for the collaborative efforts of Imo people in moving the State forward

Gov.’s wife made the call when the State chapter of the Development Initiative For African Women (DIFAW) paid her a solidarity visit and commended them for complimenting government efforts at reducing crime through women and youth empowerment.

The State Director of the organization, Mrs. Helen John Emezu and the Secretary, Mrs. Ijeoma Udensi commended the wife of the governor for improving the living standard of families in the State irrespective of party interest and affiliation and promised to support her life changing programme
