Imo First Lady welcomes Ugochi Nnanna Okoro to APGA

The Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and his wife Nneoma Nkechinyere Rochas Okorocha has commended Barrister(Mrs) Ugochi Nnanna and others for their wise decision to decamp from PDP to APGA describing it as a welcome development in Imo politics while assuring her and her supporters of the support and cooperation of the leadership of the party in the State.

Barrister (Lady) Ugochi Nnanna Okoro was the Woman Leader for the People's Democratic Party(PDP) in Imo State during the administration of Chief Ikedi Ohakim. She was later appointed as the Director of New Face Organisation (NFO),for Owerri-west Local Government Area. NFO was a political body that attempted to engineer the re-election of Chief Ikedi Ohakim as Governor of Imo State. 

The Governor urged politicians to always be committed to the welfare of people who look up to them for good governance while charging Barr Ugochi Nnanna Okoro to use her good offices to mobilize the local communities to make the CGC viable


He noted that within the 12 years of administration of PDP in the State, there was nothing to show, but within few months of stay of APGA, the State has witnessed massive infrastructural development as well as free education from primary to tertiary institution

In his speech at the event marking the decamping from PDP toAPGA by Ugochi Okoro and thousands of PDP members, the State Deputy Governor, Sir Jude Agbaso described the action of the decampees as a welcome development in view of the massive infrastructural and human development as well as the free education policy of the APGA led government

Barr Ugochi Nnanna Okoro while explaining why she decided to join APGA said she was moved by the leadership qualities of the Gov. Okorocha describing it as pragmatic and visionary she would like to associate with to actualize her desire to move the State forward
