NKECHI OKOROCHA IS A VESSEL FOR TRANSFORMATION IN IMO STATE - NLEMIGBO

The former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Imo State, Prince Prince Marcellinus Nlemigbo has described the wife of the Imo State Governor, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha as a vessel through which Imo people are experiencing total transformation.

Speaking during the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Skills Acquisition center at Ulakwo in Owerri North LGA by the Imo State First Lady recently, Prince Nlemigbo hailed the wife of the governor for her idea to establish Skills Acquisition Centers in the 27 Local Government Areas in the State aimed at making life easier for the less privileged women.
Earlier in a speech, the wife of the governor commended the people of Owerri North for providing the land for building of the center and urged women to discharge well their God given role as agents for transformation

She described women as tools for a change and urged them to contribute their quota to the development of the State as they have what it takes to contribute towards the development of their families and society at large

She pointed out that a house divided against itself cannot stand and solicited the collective effort of Imo people to make the State better


In a speech at the occasion, the State Deputy Governor, Sir Jude Agbaso commended the wife of the governor for her effort towards orientating Imo women and for her love for the needy and the down trodden in the zone which called for the establishment of the center.

The deputy governor stressed the importance of women in the development of the society and emphasized on the need for government at all levels to accord women their rightful place in the society and enjoined women to make themselves available as vessels for transformation
The high point of the occasion is the food exhibition show, talk show, march pass, cultural dance competition, presentation of prizes to winners of the completion as well as presentation of gift items ranging from bags of rice to wrappers to indigent women from the zone


Also present at the occasion is the Commissioner for Housing and Urban development, Prince Charles Onuoha, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Ann Dozie, Hon. Samuel Anyanwu and a host of others.
