IMO FIRST LADY STRESSES THE IMPORTANCE OF FORGIVENESS AT CHRISTMAS

In her Christmas message to the people of Imo State, the wife of the governor of Imo State, Nneoma Nkechinyere Rochas Okorocha said the greatest gift people could give their fellow human beings at this period is reconciliation and forgiveness in the imitation of Jesus Christ.

The Imo first lady urged the people of Imo State to use the Christmas period to thank God for his mercies and blessings in the past one year.

To the women of Imo State, Nneoma Nkechinyere Rochas Okorocha advised them to imbibe the culture of peace and pray that the coming year will be better for the State.

Her Excellency, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha called on Imo women to caution their children and teach them better ways of life to ensure they have a peaceful and joyous future

While reflecting deep on Christmas, she called on Christians to see Xmas as a period of self re-examination and rededication of their lives to God

She noted that the gift of Jesus to mankind is a rare gift that must be valued because without the coming of Jesus Christ there will be no salvation.

The wife of the governor reasoned that if Christmas can be identified as a period of reconciliation and sober reflection, sharing of love, then it should not be the time of celebration of lawlessness and destruction
