IMO FIRST LADY UNVEILS ANOTHER ARM OF WODDI DEALING WITH THE FEEDING OF THE DOWNTRODDEN



It was a day of merriment at the Ancilla Motherless Babies
Home/Orphan, Emekuku, St. Joseph’s Home for Orphans and Destitutes,
Okwu-Uratta in Owerri north LGA and Honour Birth Foundation and Orphan
Clusters, Obinze in Owerri west LGA as the wife of Imo State governor,
Nneoma Nkechi Rochas Okorocha unveiled another arm of her WODDI pet
project, namely Nneoma Kitchen which deals with the feeding and
clothing of the downtrodden in the State

Speaking on the occasion Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha said the Nneoma
Kitchen was established to feed the hungry, to fill the taste of those
who are tasty and clothe those without clothes

The Imo first lady while reasoning that the essence of living is to
touch the lives of the indigent ones in society, enjoined the well to
do in society that having being blessed by God must see themselves as
instruments of God to bring happiness to these indigent ones

She further stated that for Imo to be better there is the need for the
government to care for the less priviledges in our midst by touching
their lives positively as this will go a long way to give them the
Impression that people care for them

Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha later promised that the exercise of Nneoma Kitchen will take place once in a month so as to cover the 27 LGAs in the State

In their remarks, Rev. Sr. Carol Anozie of the Ancilla Motherless
Home, Emekuku and Rev. Sr. Mary Val. Okafor of St. Joseph Home for
Orphans, Okwu-Uratta appreciated the generous disposition of the wife
of the governor and prayed God to continue to sustain and bless her
and her family

Going further, the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Home Okwu-Uratta solicited
the assistants of the State government towards checking erosion in
their compound and provision of bus for the transportation of the
inmates

The Coordinator of Honour Birth Foundation and Orphan Clusters,
Obinze, Owerri west, Mrs. Elizabeth Onyemaechi expressed happiness
towards the wife of the governor for identifying with the foundation

High point of the occasion were dancing with less priviledges, the
feeding of them with cooked food (jollof rice), bread, akara, buns and
drinks, and provision of clothing materials, beverages; baby pampers
toiletries, bags of rice, among others.
