IMO FIRST LADY RECEIVES AN AWARD OF EXCELLENCE




The wife of the governor of Imo State, Nneoma Nkechinyere Rochas Okorocha has received an award of excellence for her exemplary leadership and service to humanity

Receiving the award in her office at the government house, Owerri from the Mbaitolu Women Leaders, who paid her a courtesy visit, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha said it will spur her to continue the good works to humanity

She called on Imo women to have hunger to succeed and unity of purpose, adding that such desire will transform the State

The Imo first lady thanked Mbaitolu people for their support to this rescue mission government and urged them to sustain it.

She described the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Mmadumere, an illustrious son of the area as a dependable and hardworking man

In their address, Magistrate Adaego Mmadumere, wife of the Deputy Governor said they came to appreciate the wife of the governor for her resilience and as a role model; and also to show their solidarity, loyalty and un flinching support to the Owelle led administration

Magistrate Adaego Madumere gave kudos to wife of the governor for the 2013 August meeting and its activities which she said has enhanced the unity of families in the LGA and the She Needs A Roof Programme (SNARP) which has given hope to the hopeless and succor to the helpless

In their remarks, the Sole Administrator of the Mbaitolu LGA, Mr. Emmanuel Iheanekwe, the Chairman of the LGA Council of the Traditional Rulers, HRH Eze Peter Okwara and the LGA Women Leader, Mrs. Victoria Osuchukwu thanked the governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and his wife for the numerous benefits they have gained from the government and pledged their unalloyed support with the assurance of mobilization of the people of the area in support of the Rescue government in the next election

High points of the occasion were the decoration of the wife of the governor; and the presentation of food stuff and cash donation in support of the Imo State First lady’s pet project.
